RPS Members Journal: Cover
Really chuffed to see my portrait of ‘Joe and Duke’ from my Twins project ‘Alike But Not Alike’ making the cover of this month’s Royal Photographic Society Members Journal! The Royal Photographic Society Members Journal has been has been published since 1853 making it the oldest continuously published photographic periodical in the world so this cover spot is a real honour. My portrait of ‘Joe and Duke’ has been selected as a finalist in this year’s RPS Exhibition (IPE 161) which will open at the new RPS Headquarters in Bristol on 7 February and then moving on to Birmingham, London (Royal Albert Hall!) and Dublin before finishing in Hull in October 2019. Marie Claire: Twins Feature
What a fantastic start to the New Year with this wonderful four page feature on my ‘Twins’ book in the new issue of Marie Claire magazine! The female twins only feature includes images and quotes from the book plus words written by the super talented Naomi and Alexandria Hewston who were also responsible for writing the Twins book introduction. Faces Magazine: Twins Feature
Chuffed with this feature on my ‘Twins’ project and book in the December issue of Swiss lifestyle and fashion magazine Faces! The six page feature includes a selections of images from the book, quotes and a complimentary review of the project (all in Swiss!). Leica Fotografie International (LFI): Lightbox Gallery Feature
What a nice surprise to see my portrait of Hermon and Heroda from my ‘Alike But Not Alike’ Twins project featured in the Lightbox Gallery section of this month’s Leica Fotografie International (LFI)! LFI is the leading Leica independent magazine which has been recognising great Leica photography for more than 60 years so it is always an honour to be featured. Royal Photographic Society International Photography Exhibition 161: Finalist
Thrilled to have my portrait of ‘Joe and Duke’ from my ‘Alike But Not Alike’ twins project selected as a finalist in this year’s Royal Photographic Society International Photography Exhibition (IPE 161)! The RPS International Photography Exhibition has been held almost every year since 1854 making it the longest running exhibition of its kind so this is a real honour. This year there were 100 images selected (out of 7327 entries!) by 54 photographers for the exhibition which will open at the new RPS headquarters in Bristol in early 2019. The exhibition tour will then move on to Birmingham, London (Royal Albert Hall!) and Dublin before finishing in Hull in October 2019. Some incredible work selected for this year’s IPE 161 exhibition, not to be missed!
The i Newspaper: Twins Feature
More great press today for my Twins book this time with a double page spread in the ‘i’ Newspaper which is the sister newspaper to the Independent! What makes this feature really special is that the article is effectively the introduction to my ‘Twins’ book written by the wonderful Alexandria and Naomi Hewston who also appear in the book. Book Launch: Twins

British Journal of Photography: Portrait of Britain Feature
Chuffed to see my ‘Portrait of Britain’ finalist image of ‘Joe and Duke’ from my ‘Alike But Not Alike’ twins project in this month’s special Portrait issue of British Journal of Photography! The feature includes several of the winners and finalist images from the exhibition and the new Portrait of Britain book. Considering the sheer number of entries into the Portrait of Britain competition this year, I’m still pretty overwhelmed to have my image chosen as a finalist and selected for inclusion in the first ever Portrait of Britain book. The new ‘Portrait of Britain’ issue of British Journal of Photography is out now (in print and digital editions) and the nationwide exhibition runs until the end of the month. Twins
I am so excited to officially announce the release of my new book ‘Twins’ published by the wonderful Hoxton Mini Press! The book is a collection of my finest portraits from my ‘Alike But Not Alike’ project which were taken over a four year period exploring the similarities, differences and unique relationship between sets of identical twins. The 96 page cloth hardback book also features intimate quotes alongside each portrait in addition to an insightful introduction written by twins Ally and Naomi Hewston. Portrait of Britain Award: Shortlisted
I’m thrilled to be a shortlisted and to have my portrait of ‘Joe and Duke’ from my ‘Alike But Not Alike’ twins project featured in the first ever 'Portrait of Britain' book! Portrait of Britain is an exhibition run by the British Journal of Photography which reflects the many faces of modern Britain today. This year there were 200 shortlisted images (out of over 13,000 submissions) selected to be featured in the Portrait of Britain book which will be published by Hoxton Mini Press and distributed worldwide. The Portrait of Britain book will be officially released on the 6th of September but you can pre order your copy here.
2018 Royal Photographic Society IPE 161 Exhibtion: Shortlisted
Chuffed to have three images from my twins project ‘Alike But Not Alike’ shortlisted in the 2018 Royal Photographic Society International Photography Exhibition (IPE 161)! There were over 7000 entries in this year’s competition from 63 countries with only 189 making the shortlist. A final 100 images will be selected for the touring exhibition so fingers crossed! Huge thanks to the Royal Photographic Society for including one of my shortlisted images (Joe and Duke) in their monthly magazine (above) highlighting some of the shortlisted entries. 2018 Lens Culture Portrait Awards: 2nd Place
Thrilled to have been awarded 2nd Place in the LensCulture 2018 Portrait Awards with my portrait of ‘Duke and Joe’ from my twins project ‘Alike But Not Alike’! With thousands of submissions from photographers in over 150 countries this award really means the world to me. The portrait of ‘Duke and Joe’ will be on display (with all the other amazing winners and finalists) as part of a special LensCulture exhibition at Photo London which is being held at Somerset House from 17-20 May 2018. Hopefully you can all make it to Photo London in May to check out Duke and Joe’s portrait in all its glory but in the meantime have a look at the all the amazing 2018 LensCulture Portrait Winners and Finalists here.

Alike But Not Alike: Exhibtion Launch Night
All invited to the private launch of my ‘Alike But Not Alike’ twins exhibition at The Hoxton Hotel Gallery on the 22nd of February. In addition to the 20 portraits of twins on display, I will be giving an artist talk with a live in-depth discussion lead by the wonderful Ben Smith (Small Voice Podcast) giving my insight into the making of the project. Alike But Not Alike: Exhibtion
I am very excited to announce that I will be exhibiting my Twins project ‘Alike But Not Alike’ at the Hoxton Hotel Gallery in Shoreditch from February 23rd – May 11th 2018. The exhibition will include approximately 20 large framed prints (and personal quotes) from the project which will be on display in the downstairs gallery area. There will be a private view/launch night on the 22nd of February and you are all welcome (full details later). British Journal of Photography: Portrait of Britain Feature
Pretty chuffed to see my winning ‘Portrait of Britain’ image of Silvana in this month’s special portrait issue of British Journal of Photography. The eighteen page ‘Portrait of Britain’ feature is printed on beautiful glossy paper (which smells as good as it looks!) featuring many of the wonderful images from the exhibition. I’m still pretty stoked to be part of this amazing exhibition and it has been such a pleasure seeing the portraits in the large format digital displays all over town. The new ‘Portrait of Britain’ issue of British Journal of Photography is out now and you can order a copy here. The nationwide exhibition runs until the 30th of September 2017. Don’t miss it!
Street Portraiture Workshop: Leica Akademie London
Very excited to announce that I will be leading my next Street Portraiture Workshop at the Leica Akademie in Mayfair, London on the 9th of December 2017! The one-day practical workshop, which is open to photographers at all levels, will be a combination of discussions and practical assignments with plenty of opportunity to take portraits on the London streets.
