2015 Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize: Prizewinner
Proud, honoured and overwhelmed to have my portrait of ‘Nyaueth’ selected for inclusion and chosen as a prizewinner in this year’s Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize at the National Portrait Gallery. This year there were 4,929 prints entered from 2,201 photographers worldwide making this award a real honour for me and a wonderful recognition of my photography. Massive thanks goes out to my sitter Nyaueth for allowing me to make this portrait of her and to all the photographers who offered their support and guidance for which I am very grateful. The prize winning places will be announced at the awards ceremony at the National Portrait Gallery on 10 November with the exhibition running from 12 November to the 21 February 2016. For full details of the exhibition check out the National Portrait Gallery.
LFI (Leica Fotografie International): Beautiful Strangers Feature
I am proud to be featured in the latest issue of LFI (Leica Fotographie International) Magazine. LFI is the leading Leica independent magazine which has been recognising great Leica photography for more than 60 years so this is a real honour and a great recognition of my work. The feature includes 5 pages of images from my latest project ‘Beautiful Strangers’ plus my views on composition and lighting of street portraits and why the Leica rangefinder camera is the perfect tool for what I do. You can download the digital copy of LFI here or pick up the printed magazine from any authorised Leica retailer worldwide.
